| Swiss federal
law allows and rigidly controls the utilization
of donor’s sperm for couples that are unable
to produce sperm.
Donors to the Cantonal Fertility Centre are Swiss
or Italian citizens that live in the region. They
are carefully selected on the basis of their general
psycho-physical health condition, the absence
of genetic anomalies in their karyotype and family
history. Furthermore they must also produce seminal
liquid of excellent quality.
The donors selected are referred to the doctor
and psychologist of the CFC and are periodically
subjected to blood tests.
The donation of eggs is not allowed in Switzerland. |
